——以译林新版《英语》四(上)Unit7 How much? Fun time为例
新版教材更加注重话题的整体性与语言的功能性,更加注重对学生兴趣的培养。Fun time是基于Story time后的第二课时,其中所涉及的句型是学生在Story time 已经感知过的,语言量并不丰富,怎样才能在一节课内使语言量变丰富,增加输入量,做到意义操练且最终能够转化成学生的输出量呢?这就需要老师们把握整体情景,在整体语言情境下教学。操练活动应该先易后难,逐步提高要求,做到词汇的操练放在句子中,句子的操练放在语境里,即所谓词不离句,句不离篇。笔者以译林新版《英语》四(上)Unit7 How much? Fun time 为例,对比了两次教学过程。
教学简案修改前后对比
Step1 Review story time
T: Last time Su Hai and Su Yang were doing a charity show, right? Who are coming?
S: Liu Tao, Yang Ling and Mike
T: What would they like?
S: Liu Tao/Yang Ling/Mike would like…
T: How much are the shoes/socks? How much is the umbrella?
S: They’re…yuan. It’s…yuan.
【设计意图】新教材注重单元的整体性,基于单元话题的句型教学应该仅仅围绕单元主题,这样不仅仅不偏离情境,还能唤醒学生的旧知,并与新知建立联系。
Step 2 Talking time
1. 教授单词fan
T:They have sold the shoes, socks and the umbrella, what is left?
2. 开放性问题
T:If you want to sell the fan, what sentences can you use?
If you want to buy the fan, what sentences can you say? Make a dialogue.
【设计意图】单词的运用离不开句子,句子的运用离不开情景,这里的情景既是Story time情景的延续,又与后面的词句教学做好铺垫。
3. Look and say
改前:
T: Today I’m doing the charity show, too. Look, what am I selling? What can you see?
改后:
T:Today I’m doing the charity show, too. Look, what am I selling? Use different sentences to say the things you see or would like to buy.
【修改意图:用what can you see?的句型太过单一,学生只能用I can see…来回答,且这个句型与本单元内容没有关系,如果用学生想买某件东西来表达,不仅与单元知识挂钩,且学生会有不同的语言来表达。】
S1: I can see an umbrella.
S2: I can see a pair of socks.
S3: I would like a toy panda.
T: But what’s the price? Actually the price is between one yuan and fifty yuan.
Step3 Learn the numbers
1. Say the numbers from one to nineteen;
2. Learn twenty, thirty, forty, fifty(运用自然拼读法);
3. Find the regulations: thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen; twenty, thirty, forty, fifty;
4. Learn sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety by themselves;
5. Look and find the regulations of twenty-one, thirty-four, fifty-seven, six-eight, eighty-two;
6. Learn twenty-four, sixty-five, seventy-six, forty-two, ninety-eight by themselves.
7. Magic eyes (复习数字类单词)
【设计意图】从学生已经学过的数字1到19入手,调节气氛,进入学习状态,运用自然拼读法教学生学习单词有利于学生把握音节,自读并牢记单词,让学生观察数字并找规律有助于学生掌握记单词的规律,加之练习有助于培养学生举一反三的能力,最后的Magic eyes 趁热打铁,复习新知。
Step4 play a guessing game
1. T: So you have known the things I am selling, and the price is between one and fifty yuan, but what’s the specific price? Can you try to guess? Take this toy panda as an example, how much is it? Try to say it’s…
T: How much is it?
S1: It’s forty-eight yuan.
T: Oh, It’s too high. (黑板上板书high并画↑) Guess again.
S2: It’s twenty yuan.
T: It’s too low. (黑板上板书low 并画↓)
……
T: Yeah, you are right.
2. T: So are you clear? Here is another dialogue. I will choose the shoes this time. Can we use how much is it?
S: No. How much are they?
T: Great, so how much are they?
S1: They’re… yuan.
T: Too higher/lower.
S2: They are…yuan.
改前:
3. T: This time I need one student to come here to sell the skirt. Don’t tell the other students the price and you guys try to use the sentence ‘How much is it’ to guess the price. If it is too high, say too high, if it is too low, say too low.
4. Use the same way to sell the books.
